"Not Flowers" No. 3 by Danik Manzhos is a visual collection of signs and signals. There’s no ornamentation here — only a collision of irony, absurdity, and broken logic.
"Not Flowers" No. 3 by Danik Manzhos is a visual environment built from fragments, gestures, and traces of the street. The artist treats image as an outburst — not finished, but caught mid-motion. On the surface, multiple incompatible layers coexist: text, graphic lines, a figurative fragment, and an abstract background. Everything appears accidental, but that accident is carefully composed. Irony here isn’t decorative — it’s a mechanism of self-defense.
Manzhos doesn’t present the painting as a message. He invites us to see it as a process — a cultural unlayering where signs lose fixed meaning. Hence the juxtaposition of a pigeon, graffiti-like linework, and the phrase "brain drain." This isn’t critique or protest — it’s a record of chaotic language, where everything becomes part of an exhausted flow. "Not Flowers" is an anti-decorative series about trying to say something — by saying nothing at all.
