1. Introduction:

These packaging and shipment guidelines are established by Mironova Art for all sellers registered on the Mironova Art online platform. It is mandatory for sellers to adhere to these guidelines when packaging orders for shipment through the Mironova Art platform. These guidelines aim to ensure that artworks and other items sold on the Platform are properly protected during transit and arrive at their destination in optimal condition.

2. General Packaging Requirements:

  • Use sturdy and durable packaging materials that provide adequate protection against damage during transit.
  • Use appropriate cushioning materials such as bubble wrap, foam inserts, or packing peanuts to protect fragile items.
  • Securely seal all packages to prevent them from opening during transit.
  • Clearly label packages with the recipient's address and contact information, as well as the sender's information.
  • Include any necessary documentation inside the package, such as invoices or certificates of authenticity.
  • Ensure that each outer prominently displays either a Mironova Art sticker or a small piece of paper featuring Mironova Art's logo.

3. Specific Packaging Requirements by Product Category

Paintings:

  • Wrap the painting in acid-free tissue paper to protect the surface from scratches.
  • Place a sheet of glassine paper over the painted surface to prevent sticking.
  • Cover the painting with bubble wrap, ensuring that it is adequately cushioned on all sides.
  • Place the wrapped painting in a custom-sized cardboard box with corner protectors to prevent bending or crushing.
  • Fill any empty spaces in the box with packing peanuts or additional bubble wrap to prevent shifting during transit.
  • Seal the box securely with packing tape and label it as "Fragile - Handle with Care."

Sculpture:

  • Use custom-sized crates or boxes with internal padding to accommodate the shape and size of the sculpture.
  • Wrap delicate areas of the sculpture with bubble wrap or foam padding to prevent damage.
  • Fill any voids within the crate with packing material to immobilize the sculpture and prevent movement during transit.
  • Securely fasten the crate lid with screws or nails to ensure it remains closed during handling.

Graphics, Photography, Mixed Media, Prints, Printmaking, Drawings:

  • Protect the artwork with acid-free tissue paper and cardboard backing to provide support and prevent bending.
  • Place the wrapped artwork in a flat rigid mailer, cardboard tube, or custom-sized cardboard box, depending on the artwork’s size and format.
  • Fill any voids within the packaging with packing material to immobilize the artwork and prevent movement during transit.
  • Seal the packaging with tape to prevent it from opening during transit.
  • Label the package with "Do Not Bend" and "Fragile" stickers to alert handlers to its delicate nature.

Installation:

  • Depending on the size and complexity of the installation, custom packaging solutions may be required.
  • Use crates or custom-built boxes with internal padding to protect individual components of the installation.
  • Securely fasten all components within the packaging to prevent movement during transit.
  • Label each component of the installation and provide detailed assembly instructions for reassembly at the destination.

6. Failure to Comply

By following these packaging and shipment guidelines, Sellers on the Mironova Art platform can ensure that their artworks and other items are delivered to Clients safely and securely. Failure to comply with these guidelines may result in penalties or suspension of selling privileges on the Platform.
